By virtue of the present petition under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Cr.P.C.), the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No.0783/2024 dated 20.12.2024 registered at PS.: Burari, Delhi under Sections 74/79/351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS), and all other proceedings emanating therefrom in view of the Settlement Deed dated 13.11.2025 arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2.

Issue Notice. Learned APP for the State accepts notice. He records his objections to the quashing of the FIR No.0783/2024 dated 20.12.2024. 4.
Learned counsel for the respondent no.2 also accepts notice. Respondent no.2, present in Court, confirm the Settlement Deed dated 13.11.2025 and submits that she has voluntarily settled all her disputes with the petitioner. Respondent no.2 further states that she does not wish to pursue the criminal proceedings against the petitioner and has no objection to the quashing of the FIR No.0783/2024 dated 20.12.2024. 5.
Further, the petitioner and the respondent no.2, present in Court, as well as their credentials, as on record, have been identified by the Investigating Officer.

De hors the section(s) involved in the present FIR, and though there is an objection by the learned APP appearing for the State, however, since the respondent no.2, who is a public servant, has voluntarily and willingly without any coercion, force and/ or pressure from anyone entered into a Settlement Deed dated 13.11.2025 with the petitioner, which is also duly borne out from the accompanying affidavit(s) of both the respondent no.2 and the petitioner, with a clear objective to bring a closure to all the disputes inter se themselves, in the considered opinion of this Court, it would be in the interest of justice as also the parties involved to quash the present FIR. As such, there is no reason for prolonging the trial and/ or continuing with the proceedings emanating from the present FIR. 7.
As such, in view of the settlement entered between the petitioner and the respondent no.2 as also in order to bring a quietus to the present disputes and following the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

NCT of Delhi; 2023 SCC OnLine Del 4072, this Court is of the opinion that continuation of the aforesaid FIR No.0783/2024 dated 20.12.2024 will be an exercise in futility.

Accordingly, the petition is allowed and FIR No.0783/2024 dated 20.12.2024 registered at PS.: Burari, Delhi under Sections 74/79/351(2) of the BNS, and all other proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. 9.
The present petition, alongwith the pending application, is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
