By this application, the appellant sought compounding of the offence till setting aside of the judgment on conviction and order on sentence. Parties were referred to Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre where the parties have arrived at a settlement before the Lok Adalat, copy whereof is annexed as annexure A-1 to the present application. 2.

The settlement is taken on record.

Parties have arrived at a settlement before the National Lok Adalat on CRL.A. 24/2018

8th September, 2018 copy whereof has been annexed as Annexure A-1 to Crl.M.A.No.33015/2018. In terms of the settlement, a total sum of ₹2,70,000/- has been paid by the appellant to respondent No.2 pursuant whereto respondent No.2 does wish to pursue the conviction and order on sentence against the appellant. Mr.Uddab Burman, Authorized Representative and Deputy General Manager of respondent No.2 is present in Court and is identified by the learned counsel who states that in view of the fact that the appellant has paid the settled amount, he has instructions to state that respondent No.2 does not wish to pursue the present appeal against the appellant and his judgment on conviction and order on sentence be set aside. Appellant who is present in Court and is identified by the learned counsel affirms the statement of authorized representative of respondent No.2.

Since parties have settled the matter, the impugned judgment on conviction dated 25th November, 2017, order on sentence dated 11th December, 2017 and the order on civil liability of the same date are set aside.

Parties have signed the order sheet in acknowledgement of their statements made above.
