The present petition is filed under Section 29(A) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal comprising of G.S. Palnitkar, Presiding Arbitrator, B.J. Vasavada, Co-Arbitrator, and K. P. Purushothaman, Co-Arbitrator. The dispute between the parties arises from the contract dated 21st March, 2014 for the work of "Rehabilitation and Upgrading to 2 lanes/ 2 lanes with Paved Shoulders Configuration and Strengthening of Anisabad - Aurangabad - Hariharganj Section (Km 0.00 to Km 154.625) of NH - 98 in the State of Bihar (Package No. NHIIP-BR-98-1) Lot -II - Km 62.0 to Km 154.625 under Phase - I of National Highways Inter-Connectivity Improvement Projects (NHIIP)."
