By way of the present petition filed under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of one year, i.e., up to 20.01.2026, for concluding the Arbitral proceedings and passing the Award. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has expired on 20.01.2025.

Issue notice.

Learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice and submits that the respondent has no objection to the prayer made in the present petition and in fact, joins the petitioner in making the aforesaid prayer. 5.
At this stage, learned counsels for the parties submit that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of cross-examination of petitioner's witness. Considering the aforesaid joint request on behalf of both the parties, the present petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of one year from 20.01.2025 i.e., till 20.01.2026. Further, all the proceedings that were held after the expiry of the mandate are regularised and validated.
