This hearing has been done through hybrid mode. 2.

The present petition under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India seeks following prayers:- "(i) That the contempt proceedings may be initiated against the respondents for violation of orders dated 04.09.2024 passed by Hon'ble High Court of Delhi in W.P (C ) No. 969412024, titled as, Smt. Shankari Devi Vs. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi&Ors." (ii) The respondents may be tried and punished in accordance with law. (iii) Any other or further relief for which the petitioner may be found entitled for in the peculiar circumstances of the present case may also be granted in favour of the petitioner and against the respondents in accordance with law."

Vide order dated 04.09.2024 in W.P.(C) 9496/2024 learned Predecessor Bench of this Court passed the following directions:- "4. The Court finds that the respondent-Corporation has already started taking action pursuant to the grievance made in the instant writ petition.

5. The respondent-Corporation is directed to take the further steps in accordance with law, as has been stated in the status report dated The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

During the pendency of the present petition it was noted that there was an impasse on the issue of standard layout plans/sanctioned building plans/standard building plans and in view thereof it was directed that DDA and MCD have a joint inspection.

In pursuance of the aforesaid directions, status report has been filed on behalf of the MCD, wherein it has been recorded as under:- "2. That the present status report is filed in pursuance to this Hon'ble Court's order dated 26.09.2025, wherein this Hon'ble Court had directed that a joint inspection be carried out by the MCD and the DDA. 3. That in due compliance of the order of this Hon'ble Court, MCD and DDA carried out a joint inspection on 29.10.2025 on the subject properties. It is also submitted that more particularly the shop no. as mentioned in the prayer clause of the present petition i.e.

Shop Nos.

213, 10,11,12,13,320,321,311,29,314,315,220,217 and 319 were inspected and unauthorized construction in some of these shops were found, and action over which has been initiated by the answering respondent/MCD. The rest of the shops were found in order. It is further submitted that corner shop no. 319 adjoining staircase at 3rd floor has also been booked for "unauthorized construction in the shape of extension of shop towards staircase by installing iron and wooden gates." The joint inspection report dated 29.10.2025 along with photographs is annexed herewith as Annexure A(Colly.). 4. That during the inspection unauthorized construction(s) was noticed at Shop no. 319,311,314,217 and 220. The Show cause notices u/s 344(1) and 343 ofDMC Act have been issued to the respective owners/occupiers of the shops and they have been directed to submit the reply within 15 days as to why orders of demolition as required u/s 343 of DMC Act should not be passed. In view of the above, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner does not wish to press the present petition at this stage. 7.

Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of as not pressed. 8.

Pending application(s), if any, also stand disposed of. 9.
