Present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been preferred by the petitioners for quashing of FIR No. 21/2015 registered under Sections 66A/66C Information Technology Act, 2000 at PS Economic Offences Wing. It is stated that the matter has been settled with the complainant / victims before the Counselling Cell, Principal Judge (West), Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi vide settlement agreement dated20.02.2016.

(2) Complainant / victims are present with counsel and have been identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from them if WP(Crl) 356/2017

they have settled the dispute with the petitioners amicably without any fear or pressure. They have informed that all the disputes between the parties have been resolved amicably with their free consent and they have no objection to the quashing of the FIR in question. (3) The petition is supported by the affidavits of the petitioner. The parties are related to each other. Marriage has already been dissolved. (4) Since the dispute between the parties has been settled, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to settle in life after divorce, FIR No. 21/2015 registered under Sections 66A/66C Information Technology Act, 2000 at PS Economic Offences Wing and all the proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. (5) The petitioners are, however, burdened with costs of `20,000/- to be deposited with Prime Minister National Relief Fund within two weeks. The Registry shall ensure the compliance of the order. (6) The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
