The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that parole granted to the petitioner be extended for a period of six months. It is stated that the petitioner has undergone a hip replacement surgery and requires constant attendance.

The status report has been filed, verifying the averments made in the petition. However, it is also stated that the Jail Authorities have a ten-bedded facility.

Considering the medical condition of the petitioner and considering the limited resources that would be available with the Jail Authorities, this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition. 4.

The parole granted to the petitioner is extended for a period of four months from today, on the same terms and conditions as specified in the

order dated 12.10.2017 passed in W.P.(Crl.) 2586/2017. 5.

The petition is allowed in the aforesaid terms. 6.
