The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, impugning an order dated 16.08.2019 (hereafter the 'impugned order') passed by the Competent Authority, whereby the petitioner's request for parole for a period of two months to re-establish social ties with family members and to curb inner stress and depression was rejected. 2.

A reading of the impugned order dated 16.08.2019 indicates that the petitioner's application for parole was rejected in terms of Rule 1210(II) of the Delhi Prison Rules, 2018.

The same requires that the conduct of a prisoner who has been awarded minor punishment or no punishment in prison should be uniformly good for the last one year. In the present case, the nominal roll indicates that the petitioner's conduct for the last one year

has been unsatisfactory in view of the punishment awarded to the petitioner on 13.09.2018 and 20.02.2019.

In view of the above, this Court finds no infirmity with the impugned order. The petition is, accordingly, dismissed. VIBHU BAKHRU, J OCTOBER 31, 2019 MK
