The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking release of the seized vehicle bearing registration number DL9CAG9220. The vehicle was seized on the ground of "End-of-Life Vehicles" under the Motor Vehicles (Registration and Functions of Vehicle Scrapping Facility) Rules, 2021.

None appears for the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the respondent no.3, who appears on advance notice submits that the vehicle in question has already been scrapped on 02.01.2024. As such, the prayer sought in the petition has become infructuous.

Accordingly, no further order/s are required to be passed in the present petition and the same is accordingly disposed of.
