The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), seeking issuance of a Writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce the minor daughter of the petitioner, namely Ms. XXX. 2.

The learned Standing Counsel hands over a copy of the Status Report dated 09.04.2026. The same is taken on record. The Status Report inter-alia states that the missing girl has since been recovered and her statement under Section 183 BNSS has been recorded on 09.03.2026 before the concerned Court, based whereon an appropriate action has been initiated against the boy.
