The petitioner has approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution, read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking protection against apprehended threats from respondent No. 3. It is contended that the petitioner had borrowed an amount of Rs. 50,000/- from respondent No. 3, who is stated to be a local moneylender, and that the petitioner apprehends threat to his safety arising out of a dispute concerning the repayment of the said amount. 4.

Sinha, learned Additional Standing Counsel for respondent Nos. 1 and 2, submits that the telephone numbers of the concerned Station House Officer and the beat constable of the petitioner's locality shall be provided to the petitioner, who may contact them in the event of any exigency.

In view of the aforesaid submission, Mr. Varun Jain, learned counsel for the petitioner, does not press for any further relief in the present writ petition.

The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
