The sole grievance raised by the petitioner in this petition is the lack of response on the part of the Town Vending Committee (TVC) despite a representation made by him on 14.01.2019, in terms of the liberty granted to him vide order dated 30.11.2018, passed in the previous writ petition filed by him [W.P.(C) 12928/2018].

Mr. Satish Kumar Tripathi, learned counsel for the petitioner states that though the TVC in the NDMC area has been duly constituted and is functional, no effective steps have been taken to consider the representation of the petitioner.

Learned counsel who appears on behalf of the respondents/NDMC states that undoubtedly the TVC has been constituted by the NDMC but an Expert Body for the purpose of conducting a survey, is required to be W.P.(C) 12563/2019

constituted by the GNCTD and steps in that regard have been taken very recently but due to the ensuing elections of the Delhi Legislative Assembly due on 08.02.2020 and the Code of Conduct coming into play, the said Expert Body will start taking steps after the elections are over, in the beginning of March, 2020.

In view of the submissions made hereinabove, the present petition is disposed of. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach the TVC again on the basis of the grievance raised by him in the earlier representation. HIMA KOHLI, J ASHA MENON, J JANUARY 20, 2020 rkb W.P.(C) 12563/2019
