The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that FIR No. 20/17 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC registered with PS Pandav Nagar and all proceedings arising therefrom be quashed. 3.

The present petition is premised on a settlement arrived at between the parties (the petitioners and respondent no.2). 4.

Respondent no.2 - who is the complainant who had filed the complaint on the basis of which the said FIR was registered - has filed an affidavit affirming that she has settled the disputes with her husband (petitioner no.1). Respondent no.2 has received a payment of ₹4,50,000/- in full and final settlement of all her claims. It is also stated that petitioner no.1

and respondent no.2 have since divorced.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer.

The petitioners are also present in Court and are identified by their counsel.

Respondent no.2 states that she has no grievance or claim against the petitioners and does not wish to pursue the FIR in question. The petitioners also state that they have no grievance or claim against respondent no.2. 7.

In view of the above, the present petition is allowed and FIR No. 20/17 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC registered with PS Pandav Nagar and all proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. 8.
