In terms of the order passed by this Court on 11th February, 2026, the private respondent no.5 was directed to file a compliance report, ensuring that the construction causing blockage of the drain was removed, and no obstruction to the drain subsisted.

Pursuant to the aforesaid order, a compliance affidavit has been filed on behalf of the private respondent no.5, wherein it is stated that the construction which had resulted in blockage of the drain has been fully removed by the private respondent no.5, and the drain in question has been cleared and restored to its original condition. along with the said affidavit.

The aforesaid fact has also been confirmed by Mr. Mahajan, Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent no.1/MCD. He has shown photographs as of yesterday, which reflect that there is no blockage in the drain.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of, while directing the private respondent no.5 not to cause any blockage in the drain in the future. The concerned authorities shall also ensure that there is no blockage in the drain.

All pending applications stand disposed of.
