% 13.01.2020 Despite service there is no appearance for the respondent. This petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for appointment of a Sole Arbitrator.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has drawn my attention to Clause 36 of the contract at page 21 of the documents to state that the contract was executed in Delhi for maintenance of an apartment block in Delhi; the venue of the Arbitration as per contract is also in New Delhi. He has also drawn my attention to the notice of invocation dated August 26, 2019 to contend that the petitioner had called upon the respondent to appoint an Arbitrator within 30 days. No response has been received by the petitioner to the invocation notice.

Noting the same, this Court appoints Mr. Samrat Nigam, Advocate (Mob: 9810424476 / 9582801689) as a Sole Arbitrator who shall adjudicate

the disputes and differences between the parties. The appointment of the Arbitrator shall be regulated by the Rules of DIAC. Let a copy of this order be sent to Mr. Samrat Nigam, Advocate at N2 Green Park (Main), New Delhi-110006. Petition is disposed of.
