The present petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, seeking issuance of directions to Respondent No.1/ State, to provide adequate protection to the petitioner from Respondent Nos. 3 to 5.

None appears for the petitioner.

The learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, however, submits that the grievance of the petitioner would be looked into and appropriate steps would be taken to ensure that there is no threat to the life of the petitioner from Respondent Nos. 3 to 5.

He submits that Head Constable of the concerned police station would contact the petitioner and provide his mobile number on which the said constable could be contacted as and when required.
