The present petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India for seeking directions to the Ld. Judge, Family Court to adjudicate and dispose of the petition bearing HMA No. 922/2020 expeditiously in a time-bound manner.

It is submitted that the divorce petition was filed by the petitioner before the Learned Judge, Family Courts at Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh in the year 2016.

Court, the same was transferred to learned Judge, Family Courts in Delhi. 6.

It is submitted that since then, the Trial in the divorce petition is not advancing and the same is being adjourned for one reason or the other. The pleadings are yet to be completed and the petitioner has moved an application before the learned Judge Family Court for seeking early hearing which is also pending disposal and the matter is listed for completion of pleadings and further proceedings on 24.05.2024. 7.

It is submitted that the said delay in disposal of the divorce petition is causing serious prejudice to the interest of the petitioner. 8.

The Hon‟ble Division Bench of this Court in the case of K. S. Sumi Mol v. Suresh Kumar E. K. Passed in MAT APP. (F.C.) No. 127/2023, has laid down the guidelines for the Family Courts in Delhi for disposal of the petitions before the Family Courts.

Accordingly, the learned Judge Family Court, North-West, Rohini, Delhi is directed to strictly comply with the directions as mentioned in the judgment K. S. Sumi Mol (supra).
