The present petition under Section 29A(4) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed by the Petitioner for extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

Material on record indicates that an Arbitral Tribunal was constituted by this Court on 08.12.2023. The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is going to expire on 25.01.2026, and therefore, the present petition has been filed for extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal. 3.

It is stated that arguments have been heard and the Award has been reserved by the Arbitral Tribunal for pronouncement. In view of the facts of the present case, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal from 25.01.2026 till 30.06.2026, so that the award can be pronounced.
