On the previous date i.e. 15.11.2019, the following order was passed : "2.

It is the petitioner's case that in the first instance, she had sought admission in Jesus & Mary College (in short "JMC") in the B.A. (Hons.) Economics course for the academic session 2019-2020. The petitioner avers that at that point in time, a sum of Rs.15,600/- was deposited as course fee. 3.

It is also the submission of the petitioner that thereafter, she got her admission in the aforementioned college cancelled and thereafter obtained admission in B.A. (Hons.) Economics course with respondent no.2 college i.e. Ramjas College. 4.

According to the petitioner, as per the information bulletin, issued by respondent no.1 university, the fee paid in JMC qua B.A.(Hons.) Economics course is required to be adjusted.

To be noted, the petitioner has drawn my attention to the relevant part of the information bulletin which is indicative of

the fact that insofar as the Ramjas College is concerned, in B.A.(Hons.) Economics course, a student is required to pay a course fee amounting to Rs.13,495/- (see page 82 of the paper book).

Learned counsel for the petitioner says that, if need be, the petitioner will deposit once again the fee amounting to Rs.13,495/- with respondent no.2 i.e. Ramjas College. 7.

Learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to deposit the fee if called upon by the court to do so. 8.

Accordingly, issue notice to the respondents. 9.

Mr. Mohinder J.S. Rupal accepts notice on behalf of respondent no.1 university.

On steps being taken, notice shall issue to respondent no.2 i.e. Ramjas College.

Counter affidavit(s) will be filed within five weeks from today. Rejoinder thereto, if any, be filed before the next date of hearing.

In the meanwhile, the respondents will not impede the petitioner in taking the internal exam and/or the external exam only account of non-payment of fee.

It is however, made clear that the petitioner will not claim any equities in case she fails in the writ petition. 14.

Renotify the matter on 28.01.2020.

Accordingly, the matter was posted for hearing today i.e. 28.01.2020. 3.

Learned counsels for respondent nos.1 and 2 have brought their respective counter affidavits to court, copies of which have been furnished to learned counsel for the petitioner. The counter affidavits are taken on record.

3.1 For the purposes of good order and record, the Registry will scan and upload the aforesaid counter affidavits.

Learned counsel for respondent no.2 says that pursuant to the order passed by this court on 15.11.2019, the petitioner has deposited the requisite fee for B.A. (Hons.) Economics course with respondent no.1 university. 4.1 In this behalf, my attention is drawn to Annexure-2 appended on page 9 of respondent no.2's counter affidavit. 4.2 According to the learned counsel, the petitioner has obtained admission in respondent no.2 college.

Mr. Mohinder J.S. Rupal, who appears on behalf of respondent no.1 university, says that the university has received intimation from Jesus & Mary College that Rs.14,600/- has been refunded to the petitioner. 6.

Mr. Rupal states that, according to the intimation received, Rs.1,000/- was deducted by the Jesus & Mary College as charges towards cancellation of admission.

Given the aforesaid position, learned counsel for the petitioner says that since the petitioner has obtained admission in respondent no.2 college, the petition has worked itself out.

7.1 Mr. Rupal submits likewise.

The captioned writ petition and pending application are, accordingly, closed.
