A request for an adjournment is made on behalf of the learned Counsel for the Petitioner/tenant.

Learned Counsel for the Respondent/landlord objects to the said request and submits that the possession of the subject premises has already been taken during the execution proceedings by the Respondent/landlord. She further submits that the same request was made by the Petitioner on the last date of hearing i.e., 29.05.2024.

Learned Counsel for the Respondent/landlord further submits that since the possession of the subject premises has already been taken, the present Petition has become infructuous.

Learned Counsel for the Respondent/landlord on instructions submits that the Respondent/landlord will not undertake any proceedings to recover the arrears of rent or use and occupation charges from the Petitioner/tenant.
