Crl. M.C. No. 66/2016 The present petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Cr. P.C. for quashing of the FIR No. 0497/2015 registered under Section 509 IPC and Section 23 of the Juvenile Justice Act, 1986 at Police Station Bharat Nagar.
It is stated that the matter has been amicably settled orally with the complainant/respondent No. 2 on 21.12.2015. The father of the Complainant/respondent No. 2, her natural guardian is present and has been identified by the Investigating
Officer. I have enquired from him if he has settled the dispute on behalf of the victim, her daughter with the petitioners amicably without any fear or pressure. He has informed that all the disputes between the parties have been resolved amicably with their free consent and he has no objection to the quashing of the FIR in question.
The petition is supported by affidavits of the parties. Since the dispute between the parties has been settled, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to put an end to the litigation, FIR No. 0497/2015 registered under Section 509 IPC and Section 23 of the Juvenile Justice Act, 1986 at Police Station Bharat Nagar and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.
The petitioners are directed to deposit Rs.20,000/- as costs in the Prime Minister's Relief Fund within two weeks. Registry shall ensure its compliance.
The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
Pending applications also stands disposed of.
