The present petition has been filed under Section 528 BNSS, 2023 seeking quashing of FIR No.34/2019 under Sections 323/341/506/34 IPC registered at Police Station Mangol Puri, Delhi and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom on the ground that the parties have arrived at a settlement.

The petitioners have joined through VC whereas the respondent no. 2/complainant is present in the Court. The parties have been identified by their respective counsel, as well as, by the Investigating Officer SI Manita PS Mangol Puri.

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties jointly submit that the present FIR is an offshoot of matrimonial discord between the respondent no.2 and his former wife namely Ms. Nausheen Qureshi. 6.

It is submitted that the present petitioners are the relatives of the former wife of the respondent no.2/complainant.

It is also submitted that the parties have arrived at a settlement and the statement of the complainant has also been recorded by the learned Joint Registrar (Judicial) on 13.02.2025, which is on record. 8.

A perusal of the statement reveals that the respondent no.2 has stated that he has no objection in case aforesaid FIR is quashed. 9.

It is further submitted that the matrimonial discord between respondent no.2 and his former wife had led to registration of two other FIRs as well viz., FIR No. 420/2019 and FIR No. 803/2019, both registered at PS Nangloi, Delhi. It is submitted that the said two FIRs have already been quashed by a coordinate bench of this Court.

In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, this Court is of the view that since the parties have arrived at a settlement, no useful purpose will be served in continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them.

It is, thus, in the interest of justice that the present FIR and all the other proceedings emanating therefrom be quashed.

Consequently, the petition is allowed and the FIR No.34/2019 under The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Sections 323/341/506/34 IPC registered at Police Station Mangol Puri, Delhi alongwith all other proceedings emanating therefrom, is quashed. 13.

The petition stands disposed of in the above terms. 14.
