By way of present petition, the petitioner seeks directions to remove his name from the surveillance register maintained at PS Shaheen Bagh, New Delhi.

Learned ASC (Crl.) for the State submits that the petitioner's status was last reviewed by the concerned DCP in 2020 and the petitioner's name was removed from Bundle-A and kept in Bundle-B. She states that however, in 2020 a fresh case has been registered against the petitioner under Section 354 IPC. She states that since four years have elapsed, the petitioner's case will be reviewed again by the concerned DCP.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed of with the direction that the petitioner shall also be given a hearing in those proceedings.
