1. The Petitioner was given an offer of appointment as temporary Junior Judicial Assistant/ Restorer by this Court on 19th December, 2018. He was asked to send his acceptance within 15 days, failing which the offer of appointment would stand cancelled.

2. On 29th December, 2018, while accepting the offer, the Petitioner informed the High Court that he would join in the last week of January, 2019 or the second week of February, 2019. Since then, the Petitioner has been seeking extensions for one reason or the other. The Petitioner was granted as many as three extensions. In terms of the last of such extensions, the Petitioner was to join was 18th June, 2019. However, he had kept asking for further time. He has filed this petition against the rejection of his representation dated 26th August, 2019.

3. This Court has heard the submissions of Ms. Saahila Lamba, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. Jayant K. Mehta, learned counsel for the Respondent.

4. The Court is of the view that sufficient number of opportunities have already been granted to the Petitioner to join duty. Beyond a period of six months, the Court fails to see how further time can be granted for any reason whatsoever.

5. The petition is accordingly dismissed.
