By way of present petition, the petitioner seeks expeditious trial of the FIR No. 835/2015 registered under sections 498A/406/34 IPC at Police Station Punjabi Bagh pending trial as Cr. Case 73057/2016 titled as "State versus Shiv Kumar" before the court of ld. MM (Mahila Court)-01 (W) Tis Hazari Court Delhi.

The petitioner claims that the FIR in the instant case was registered in the year 2015.

The facts narrated are that the complainants are married to two real brothers however on account of allegations narrated in the complaint, two FIRs came to be registered trial of which is conducted in one Court. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite the fact that charges came to be framed only in the year 2018, even the examination of the prosecutrix is not complete.

on which date the complainant is summoned.

It appears that after filing of the charge-sheet in 2016, there has been a considerable delay in the proceedings before the Trial Court. 6.
It is further informed that prosecution has cited only 7 witnesses in support of each of the cases, out of which some are common witnesses. 7.
In view of the aforesaid, the present petition is disposed of with the directions that the Trial Court shall make an endeavour to conclude the trial within one year from 23.04.2024. The Investigating Officer shall ensure that necessary steps are taken for summoning and examination of the prosecution witnesses.
