Petition under Article 226/227 read with Article 21 of the Constitution of India and Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 („Cr.P.C.‟) has been preferred on behalf of the petitioners with the following prayers:

"a) The Hon'ble High Court may be pleased to issue a writ directing respondents 1 to 4 to take immediately action to provide safety to the petitioners;

b) The Hon'ble High Court may be pleased to issue appropriate writ or order directing respondent no. 5 and 6 not to interfere in the marriage life of the petitioners and the respondent authorities be directed to give protection to them from respondent no. 5 and 6; and c) The Hon'ble High Court may be further pleased to direct the respondent authorities to take appropriate action against respondents 5 and 6 for their illegal act of threatening to the petitioners." 2.

19.03.2024 and submitted that he had no objection to the relationship of the petitioners. Further, he had merely lodged a missing report qua petitioner No.2 in Maharashtra. So far as respondent No.5 is concerned, it is informed that he was contacted on his mobile and he assured to join the proceedings through VC on 04.04.2024. Further, respondent No.5 expressed his inability to visit Delhi in this regard.

Learned ASC for the State submits that an effort has been made to contact respondent No.5 telephonically, but he is unavailable. On instructions, learned ASC for the State states that necessary steps shall be taken by local P.S. to ensure the safety and security of the petitioners, subject to sharing of their whereabouts, in case of any change. It is further urged that beat staff has already been apprised and phone numbers of police officials have been shared with the petitioners. Taking the statement of learned ASC for the State on record, petition is accordingly disposed of with directions to SHO, P.S.: New Ashok Nagar to take necessary steps to ensure the safety and security of the petitioners, in accordance with law.
