The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking direction to the respondent to release the petitioner on parole for a period of two months in connection with FIR No.62/2007 under Sections 307/506 IPC registered at Police Station Uttam Nagar.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the application requesting for grant of parole was made by the petitioner on 26.10.2023 but the same has not been decided till date.

Issue notice. The learned ASC for the State accepts notice. 4.

In view of the limited prayer, with the consent of the parties the matter is taken up for disposal without calling for the status report from the respondent - State.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as of now the petitioner will be satisfied in case the petition is disposed of giving time bound direction to the respondent to decide the application of the petitioner, which prayer is not opposed by the learned ASC for the State. 6.

In view of the above, the respondent is directed to decide the application dated 26.10.2023 filed by the petitioner for seeking parole, within a period of two weeks from today.
