The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued for the grant of parole to him for a period of three months.

The petitioner requests for parole for the purposes of filing a Special Leave Petition before the Supreme Court. The petitioner was convicted of an offence under Section 6 of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and Section 376(2) of the IPC in connection with FIR No. 226/2013 registered with P.S.s Bhalswa Dairy. The petitioner's appeal against his conviction (Crl. Appeal No. 524/2017) was dismissed by this Court on 27.11.2018.

The nominal roll indicates that the petitioner has already served a total period of six years and sixteen days and is required to serve a further period
of eight years two months and fourteen days as on 30.08.2019. The nominal roll also indicates that his conduct in the jail has been satisfactory. 4.
The petitioner wants to consult a lawyer and take steps for filing a Special Leave Petition. In this view, this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition.

Accordingly, the respondents are directed to release the petitioner on parole for a period of two weeks from the date of his release on the petitioner's furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.20,000/- and a surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent. The petitioner shall not leave the National Capital Territory of Delhi during the aforesaid period. He shall also ensure that his mobile number is provided to the Jail Superintendent and the same is kept active throughout the aforesaid period.
