The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that respondent no.1 be directed to provide necessary protection to the petitioners. The petitioners state that they are both majors and have married against the wishes of their family members. It is stated that petitioner no.1 also converted to Islam from Hinduism on the date (14.10.2019) of solemnisation of their marriage, which was done as per Islamic rites. The petitioners state that respondent nos. 2 (Ankit Singh) and 3 (Rani Devi) and their family members have been issuing threats to the petitioners on account of them having married contrary to their wishes. The petitioners are apprehensive of their safety and have filed the present petition in this context.

The learned counsel appearing for the State states that efforts were
made to verify the address of the petitioners but it was found to be incorrect. It is pointed out that there is error in the address provided by the petitioners - it is not E-27, Gali No.17, Dass Garden, Baprola Vihar, Babraula, Delhi110043; but it is B-27 Gali No.17, Dass Garden, Baprola Vihar, Babraula, Delhi-110043.

In view of the averments made in the present petition, this Court considers it apposite to direct the petitioners to approach the SHO, PS Ranhola.
The SHO shall evaluate the threat perception and provide the petitioners such protection as he considers necessary. The SHO may also provide the telephone number of the beat staff in order to enable the petitioner to contact them in case of any eventuality. 4.
No further orders are required to be passed in this petition. The same is disposed of.
