The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that the parole granted be extended for a further period of six weeks. 3.
The petitioner was directed to be released on parole for a further period of two weeks by an order dated 22.10.2019. The same was granted in view of the mitigating circumstances and considering that that the petitioner had already served over nineteen years in custody. The petitioner had sought parole as his mother had to undergo a surgery on 30.10.2019. 4.
The petitioner states that the surgery could not be undertaken as his mother was suffering from high fever and, accordingly, the surgery is now
scheduled on 11.11.2019.

In view of the averments made in the petition, the same is allowed and the parole granted to the petitioner is extended for a further period of two weeks from that date. This order is passed on the basis of the petitioner's statement that the surgery of his mother is scheduled on 11.11.2019 and the same is subject to verification by the respondent. 6.
Subject to the above, the parole be extended on the same terms and conditions as indicated in the order dated 22.09.2019. 7.
The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 8.
