The present petition under Article 215 of the Constitution of India read with Section 11 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 seeks the following prayers:- "A. Call for all relevant records and assessment of all candidates who have been empanelled for rank of Major General in No. 1 SB held on 28.10.2024, along with records of the Petitioner, to enable this Hon'ble Court to suitably consider wilful disobedience and deliberate non-compliance by Respondents/Alleged contemnors with a view to ensure meaningful compliance, in both, letter and spirit of this Hon'ble Court's Judgment/Order dated 24.10.2024; B. Initiate contempt proceedings against the Respondents/Alleged contemnors for their wilfully and deliberately disobeying the Judgment/Order dated 24.10.2024 passed by this Hon'ble High Court in Writ Petition (C) No.

15281 of 2023 captioned as Gopal Mohan Atri v. Union of India & Ors., C. Pass any other or further orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of this case." Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the present petition with liberty to approach the Ld. AFT with respect to his grievances. He further prayed that the Respondents may be directed to ensure that the said petition is disposed of expeditiously, as the petitioner is retiring in March, 2026.

Leave and liberty granted.

So far as the aforesaid prayer for directions to the Respondent is concerned, the petitioner is always at liberty to make an appropriate prayer before the Ld. AFT.

The present petition is dismissed as withdrawn and disposed of accordingly.
