Petitioner had earlier filed a Public Interest Litigation which was disposed by learned Division Bench of this Court on 08.102.2024 while passing the following directions: - "5. Keeping in view the aforesaid, this Court directs the present writ petition to be treated as a representation to the STF, who is directed to decide the same in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.

6. Learned counsel for MCD shall forward a copy of this order along with the writ petition to the STF forthwith. The rights and contentions of all the parties are left open."

Learned counsel for MCD appears on advance notice and submits that as per aforesaid specific directions, copy of the order along with writ petition was duly forwarded to Special Task Force (STF) and, therefore, they are not in any contempt.

When asked, learned scounsel for petitioner could not respond as to whether any decision was taken by STF. Interestingly, STF is not even a party to the present contempt petition.

In view of the above, learned counsel for petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present contempt petition with liberty to file it afresh after cross-checking the status of the matter from the Special Task Force. 5.

Petition is accordingly disposed of as not pressed. 6.

Liberty, as prayed, is granted.
