O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 416/2019 This petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 29(A)(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of time by nine months for the arbitral tribunal to complete the proceedings and render the award.

The plea is opposed by Mr.Abhishek Singh, counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent, on the ground that only six months be granted. Noting the fact that SoD to amended SoC is yet to be filed, I deem it appropriate to extend the time for the arbitral tribunal to complete the proceedings and render the award by a period of seven months effective from 19th October, 2019.

The petition is disposed of.
