The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that respondent authorities be restrained from executing the extradition order dated 22.08.2019.

Mr Rajiv Sharma, learned counsel appearing for the respondent points out that in accordance with the procedure, the extradition request was referred to the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate for his recommendation (Case No. 19546/2016). The matter was considered and by an order dated 17.12.2018, the learned ACMM had recommended that the petitioner be extradited. The petitioner had, thereafter, challenged the said order by way of a writ petition [W.P. (Crl.) 3964/2018]. The petitioner had also filed another writ petition [W.P. (Crl.) 468/2019] impugning the letter

dated 04.02.2019, issued by the Ministry of External Affairs communicating their decision to extradite the petitioner to United Kingdom to face trial for various offences. Both the said writ petitions were dismissed by a common order dated 15.07.2019.

This Court is also informed that a Special Leave Petition was preferred against the judgment dated 15.07.2019 and the same was also rejected.

In view of the above, the petitioner's challenge to the extradition has run its course. Thus, the relief sought by the petitioner cannot be granted. The petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
