W.P.(CRL) 60/2018 Petitioner is seeking parole for the reasons mentioned in the petition. The primary reason is that the petitioner wants to reconnect with his family and his social ties. The nominal roll of the petitioner reflects that the petitioner is a convict under Section 307 of the IPC as also Section 25 of the Arms Act. The maximum sentence awarded to him is RI 5 years. As on 14.12.2017 he had undergone incarceration of almost 2 years 7 months and 23 days; he has earned remissions of 4 months and 18 days. His jail conduct is satisfactory. He is working
as a Painting Sahayak in the jail. Status report of the State is also on record. The address of the petitioner has been verified. Prayer made in the petition is granted. The petitioner be released on parole for a period of three weeks to be counted from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with on surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendant concerned with condition that he will report to the local SHO on every Monday of each week; he will also provide his latest address and mobile/telephone number to the Investigating Officer and he will surrender himself to the Jail Authorities immediately after expiry of the parole period of three weeks.
Petition disposed of.
A copy of this order be sent to Jail Superintendant for intimation to the petitioner.
