The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that the parole granted to the petitioner be extended for a further period of two weeks in order for him to take care of his ailing wife. It is seen that the petitioner has been granted parole on numerous occasions. 2.

The petitioner was directed to be released on parole by an order dated 22.08.2019 in W.P.(Crl.) 2122/2019.

Pursuant to the said order, the petitioner was released on parole on 01.10.2019 for a period of four weeks. The said parole was granted to the petitioner on the ground that his wife was suffering and he was required to look after her. The petitioner now seeks extension of the parole for the same reason.

The petitioner has annexed a certificate issued by the Dr J. A. Khan,

which indicates that the petitioner's wife is in his care for anxiety disorder and depression and she has been advised continuous treatment of one year. Clearly, the parole granted to the petitioner cannot be extended indefinitely. In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed. 4.
