O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking bail in connection with FIR No. 0032/2017, under Sections 381/34 of the IPC, registered with P.S. Karol Bagh.

The aforesaid FIR was registered at the instance of one Sh Aman Arora. He had alleged that two women had come to his house in the morning of 06.01.2017 and had sought employment as maids to do the household work. He stated that on that date, the supply of water was insufficient and therefore, he had asked them to come the next date. He alleged that both the women, including the petitioner, were employed by him on trial basis for a period of two days. They had returned on 19.01.2017 to his house and thereafter, he had left for work about 10.30 a.m. He alleged that one of the maids hypnotized his mother-in-law while the other had gone inside the room and stolen valuables including jewellery items and cash amounting to ₹7,000/-. He reported that the said offence was committed between 10.20 a.m. to 12.45 p.m. The petitioner was apprehended and it is alleged that she had disclosed that the entire jewellery items had been given to her husband

and his friend for selling the same. The petitioner is also stated to have acknowledged the receiving of a sum of ₹57,5000/- as her share. The petitioner has been in custody since 16.04.2017. 3.

By an order dated 25.02.2020, this Court had also observed that the trial was being conducted at a very slow pace and the complainant had not been examined. In the circumstances, this Court had expressed the view that it would be apposite to release the petitioner on bail, however, the final order for bail was not passed since the address of the petitioner had not been verified.

A status report has been filed which indicates that the petitioner's local address in Delhi has been verified. Further, the petitioner has also provided the names of the two sureties who are residents of Delhi. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on her furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- with two sureties of the equivalent amount to the satisfaction of the Trial Court. This is also subject to following further conditions: (a) That the petitioner shall not leave the National Capital Territory of Delhi; (b) That the petitioner shall report to the concerned police station (PS Sagar Pur West) on first Monday of every calendar month; (c) That the petitioner shall provide her contact number to the police and ensure that she is reachable at all times. 5.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 6.
