The present petition seeks quashing of FIR No. 111/2021 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 18601 registered at P.S. Krishna Nagar premised on a compromise between the Petitioners and Respondent No. 2.

Noticing non-appearance on behalf of the parties, the Court had issued notice to Respondent No. 2 through the concerned Investigating Officer on 3rd September, 2025.

S.I. Shivam Sahu, P.S. Krishna Nagar, submits that Respondent No. 2 has been duly informed of the present proceedings, but has conveyed her unwillingness to appear. The counsel representing Respondent No. 2 has communicated a similar position.

There is also no appearance on behalf of the Petitioners. This indicates that the settlement relied upon by the Petitioners has not materialised.

In light of the foregoing, the present petition is dismissed. It is, however, clarified that the Court has not commented on the merits of the case. In the event the parties reach a genuine settlement in future, they shall be at liberty to approach the Court through appropriate proceedings.
