The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking release of admitted dues payable by the respondent to the petitioner in respect of work of construction of approaches to RUB, retaining walls, service roads, drainage system with sump well, pump house and office block for site office at Kishan Ganj, Delhi, which is the subject matter of work order dated 06.10.2008.

Learned counsel for the respondent does not dispute that the amount of approximately Rs.26 Lacs is payable to the petitioner. She submits that the said amount has been approved for payment by the Engineering Department of the MCD and a demand notice has been forwarded to the finance department, for requisite payment to the petitioner. 3.

In view of the fact that the aforesaid payment is admittedly due by the respondent to the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to pay the requisite amount to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from today.
