O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 468/2019 This is yet another petition filed by the petitioner under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for extension of time for the learned Arbitrator to complete the proceedings and render the award.

I find that earlier on April 22, 2019 in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 152/2019 this Court had granted six months time for the learned Arbitrator to complete the arbitration proceedings. Heard learned counsel for the parties, the submission of the learned counsel for the respondent is that an attempt is being made by

the petitioner to delay the proceedings. In effect she opposes the prayer as made in the petition.

I am told, the proceedings are at the final stage and the counsel for the petitioner is arguing the matter. It is conceded, two applications have been filed, which are still pending. I deem it appropriate to extend the time by a period of four months effective from October 21, 2019. I take on record the submission made by the learned counsel for the parties that they shall not take any adjournment in the proceedings.

The petition stands disposed of.
