Allowed, subject to all just exceptions.
W.P.(CRL) 2883/2019 2.
The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to arrest the accused in FIR No. 0214/2016 under Section 436 of the IPC, registered with PS Shahdara and to investigate the matter.
3.
The said FIR was registered at the instance of the petitioner. He had alleged that goods of substantial value which belonged to him had been burned by the accused therein.
4.
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has restricted the present petition to pray for an expeditious completion of the investigation. 5.
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that
investigation could not be completed, as the petitioner had not joined the investigation. This is stoutly disputed by the petitioner, who is also present in Court.
6.
In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to join the investigation and appear before the Investigating Officer (IO) on 28.11.2019 at 10:30 AM. The IO shall take all steps to complete the investigation and file an appropriate report as expeditiously as possible and in any event, not later than six months from today.
7.
The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. VIBHU BAKHRU, J NOVEMBER 25, 2019 MK
