The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the police authorities to take appropriate legal action against respondent no.3 (father of petitioner no.2). The petitioners claim that they have married against the wishes of the family members of petitioner no.2. They claim that they have received threats from respondent no.3 and are apprehensive about their own safety.

Mr Mahajan, learned ASC states that inquiries were made and the petitioners were not found residing at the address, as indicated in the memo

of parties (Room No. 350, Sector-A-5, Pocket-1, Janta Flat, Narela, Delhi110040). In view of the above, this Court considers it apposite to direct the petitioners to appear before the SHO (respondent no.2). He will evaluate the threat perception and provide the petitioners such security within his jurisdiction, as he considers necessary. He will also provide the phone number of the Beat Staff/Official of the Police Station, who can be contacted by the petitioners in case of any emergency.

No further orders are required to be passed in the present petition. The same is disposed of.
