By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeks the following reliefs:

"a) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ or direction thereby setting aside and quashing the Order No. 1320- 24/HAX/SED dated 19.01.2023 and Order No. 2081619/HAX/SED dated 05.09.2022 issued by Respondent no. 3; b) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ or direction thereby directing the respondents to immediately provide round the clock police protection / security to the petitioner;

c) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ or direction thereby directing an enquiry against the erring Delhi Police Officials for disclosing and bringing the name of the petitioner as secret informer in the public domains.." 2.

concerned DCP was directed to depute a PSO to the petitioner within 24 hours and assess the threat perception every ten days. It is informed that the petitioner's case is now pending under active consideration before the District Witness Protection Committee and the directions contained in the order dated 31.07.2023 are being continued. Mr. Mehta further states that even the District Witness Protection Committee has also passed a similar order on 11.08.2023.

Considering that the petitioner's case is now under active consideration before the District Witness Protection Committee, the present petition is disposed of along with pending application. In case the petitioner is aggrieved by the outcome of the representation, he shall be at liberty to approach the Court. At this stage, Mr. Mehta states that in case the petitioner's representation is not considered favourably, the protection provided to the petitioner by this Court may not be immediately withdrawn and the same be continued at least for seven days. Learned ASC states that she has no objection to the request made. Ordered accordingly.
