The present petition under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 seeks following prayers:- "a) Initiate contempt proceeding against the respondents for their contemptuous act, thereby directing the contemnors to comply with the order dated 13.12.2023 passed by the Hon'ble Court in W.P.(C) 16022 of 2023 titled as Jamia Millia Islamia vs. Municipal Corporation of Delhi & Ors.; and b) Pass such further order(s) and/or direction(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case and in the Interest of Justice."

Status report has been filed on behalf of the GNCTD, wherein, it is stated that the unauthorised construction was demolished by the MCD on 26.02.2024 and currently, there is no unauthorised construction. 4.
