This petition has been filed under Sections 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (in short, 'Cr.P.C.') read with Article 227 of the Constitution of India praying for a direction to the learned Metropolitan Magistrate-02, Mahila Court, South District, Saket Courts, New Delhi (hereinafter referred to as the 'Trial Court') to expedite the conclusion of the trial in CR Case no. 2031975/2016 emanating from FIR No.40/2013 registered with Police Station: Malviya Nagar, Delhi in the year 2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (in short, 'IPC'). 3.
The chargesheet in the above Criminal Case was filed on 14.07.2014, and charges were framed on 11.01.2018. Without in any manner entering into the merits of the contentions made by the petitioner in the present petition, as the above Criminal Case is pending adjudication since 2014, and keeping in view the age and medical condition of the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a request to the learned Trial Court to expeditiously dispose of the Criminal Case preferably within a period of three months of first listing of the said case before the learned Trial Court post this order.
