1. Paragraphs 3 and 4 of the additional affidavit filed by the Respondents read as under:

"3. That a total of 1048 medically fit candidates up to Merit SI No. 1610 were called as Main Candidates and 100 Medically fit candidates up to Merit SI No. 1760 were called as Standby Candidates out of the PSL published on 30.04.2019 for enrolment in Intake 02/2019 held on 26.06.2019. From the said candidates, 966 candidates were enrolled from the Main called candidates and 79 candidates were enrolled from the Standby called candidates. A total of 94 candidates from the total called candidates didn't turn up on the day of enrolment due to various reasons. Thus, accordingly a total of 1045 candidates up to Merit SI No. 1741 could get enrolled as per the available vacancy.

4. That the Petitioner was low in the merit list (at Merit SI No. 1758) in the PSL and therefore, he couldn't get enrolled in IAF. It is stated that the candidates were enrolled strictly as per their W.P.(C) 11109/2019 Page 1 of 2

merit position and no candidate lower in merit to the Petitioner has been enrolled from the abovementioned PSL. It is further stated that 9 candidates [including the Petitioner] could not be enrolled as there were no vacancy left against the Intake 02/2019."

2. In that view of the matter, no relief can be granted to the Petitioner. The petition is dismissed. The pending application is disposed of. S. MURALIDHAR, J.
