This petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayers:- "i) Issue a Writ of Mandamus or Certiorari or any other Writ for direction to the respondent no. 1 to 4 to quash its final order NO.V-15014/MAJ-09/GHG/L&R/2013/3910 dated 10.01.2023 of removal/dismissal from service of BSF and pass an order for reinstatement in the service with all consequential benefits.
ii) Or pass any other and further writ, order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit, just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case."

It is conceded position that the petitioner had submitted a Statutory Appeal under Section 117 of the Border Security Force Act, 1968, to the competent authority i.e., D.G., BSF, and the same is still pending consideration.

The learned counsel for the respondents who appears on advance notice states on instructions that the same shall be decided within a period of eight weeks from today.

In view of the submission made by the counsel for the respondents on instructions, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to decide the Statutory Appeal of the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from today.

The petitioner shall be at liberty, if any order is passed to his prejudice, to challenge the same, in accordance with law. V.
