The petitioner has filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution seeking police protection due to an apprehension of threat from Respondent No. 2 herein and his associates. She has made a written representation to the police authorities on 16.01.2026, making allegations of intimidation, blackmail, stalking, and harassment against respondent No. 2.

Mr. Rahul Tyagi, learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, who appears on advance notice, states that action on the representation will be taken in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, and not later than one week from today. 3.

As far as this aspect is concerned, Mr. Shan Mohammed, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that the petitioner reserves her right to move the concerned court under Section 175(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, for registration of an FIR, if necessary. 4.

As far as the petitioner's apprehension of threat to her security is concerned, Mr. Tyagi states that telephone number of the Station House Officer and Beat Constable having jurisdiction over the place of her residence will be provided to her in the course of the day and she may contact them in the event of any exigency.

No further orders are sought at this stage.
