W.P.(C) 1120/2025 The present petition has been filed with the following prayers:- A. Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the Respondent No. 2 herein to rectify the preference of subjects for the Petitioner for his AISSCE 2025 by adding Biology [subject code:044] and replacing Mathematics [subject code:041] as one his core subjects; and The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. B. Pass an Order directing the Respondent No. 3 to allow the Petitioner to appear for the practical examination to be conducted by Respondent No. 3 which is scheduled for 3001-2025 with Biology as a subject instead of Mathematics till the rectification of preferred subjects are done by the Respondent No. 2; and C. Pass an Order directing the Respondent No. 2 to allow the Petitioner to appear for the theory examination of AISSCE 2025 to be conducted by Respondent No. 2 with Biology as a subject instead of Mathematics till the rectification of preferred subjects are done by the Respondent No. 2 D. Pass any other order or directions as this Hon'ble Court may deem it fit and proper in the interest of justice and in the facts and circumstances of this case.

Issue notice. Mr. Sanjay Khanna, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent no. 2/CBSE accepts the notice.

Mr. Sanjay Khanna, learned Standing Counsel, on instructions, states that in fact despite the respondent no. 3/Daffodil Public School having been put to the notice, the corrective steps are not taken. Learned Standing Counsel submits that CBSE in the interest and welfare of the child, shall permit to change the subject from Mathematics to Biology as fifth subject. However, learned Standing Counsel submits that this may not be taken as a precedent as has been done in the peculiar facts and circumstances. In view of the submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel for CBSE, the present petition stands disposed of.
