The instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking the following reliefs: "a) Issue a Writ of Certiorarified mandamus quashing the Clause 7 (b) (ii) (6) of the Employment Notice dated 21.01.2023 issued by the Respondent No. 2 for Recruitment of Apprentice Development Officers, setting 40 years as the upper age limit for the General category FSE applicants; and b) Issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to revise/refix the upper age limit for General category FSE applicants as set out in Clause 7 (B) (6) of the Employment The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, after some length of arguments, does not press the matter on merits and seeks an innocuous prayer to file a detailed representation/application before the competent authority i.e. Managing Director of the respondent-LIC within one week.

Mr. Arun Bhardwaj, learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents vehemently opposed the instant petition and submitted that there is no case made out by learned counsel for the petitioner. However, he has no objection to the innocuous prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner on instructions.

Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 5.

After perusal of the record, contentions made in the petition as well as the innocuous prayer made on behalf of the petitioner and no objection from the respondents, this Court is inclined to allow the innocuous prayer made on behalf of the petitioner.

The petitioner is directed to file a detailed representation/application along with the certified copy of this order before competent authority i.e. Managing Director of the respondent-LIC within one week.
